The Blue Raiders got a great practice in this afternoon in Floyd Stadium under clear blue skies and some great Tennessee fall weather with highs in the upper 60's to low 70's. This was a welcome sight after several days of above average temps and scattered showers.

With fall break still in effect for MTSU students until Wednesday the Blue Raiders got to meet a little earlier on Monday with a 2pm team meeting. Coach Stockstill covered several administrative announcements with the team before reviewing the Georgia Tech performance for a few moments. Then Coach Stockstill emphatically turned everyone's attention to the task at hand which is LA-Monroe. The Warhawks are riding a two game winning streak and sitting at third in the conference standings. Everyone knows that this team still has the chance at the goals it set before the season, a conference championship and a bowl game. The team also knows this is the same point in time last year when the players regrouped and re-focused before going on a late season run to contend for the conference championship. So this year's team is hoping to channel that same effort and enthusiasm in order to try to achieve the same results as the 2009 squad.
Things seemed to get going in the right direction as the team had one of the best practices so far this season. Players and coaches alike got to work during a spirited and fast paced practice in some great Tennessee fall weather. Here are some shots from yesterday's practice...

The Blue Raiders had a spirited workout on Saturday, or Wednesday in our terms, with great weather in Murfreesboro with clear blue skies and temps in the mid 70's. The Blue Raiders will be back at practice today, Sunday, with a normal "Thursday" workout.
