New Signees...

Middle Tennessee has recently added some signees for the summer term to help fill needs for the 2010 season. The MT coaching staff has continue to tap into the California pipeline that has produced Garrett Andrews, Logan Kilgore and several other Blue Raiders with bright futures. These young men are attending classes this summer and are preparing to make contributions in the 2010 season.

Jeff Murphy- QB, Alameda, CA
Murphy, a right-handed signal-caller, comes to Murfreesboro by way of Alameda, Calif. He played the previous two years at Laney Junior College where he was all-conference and all-region. In 2009, he completed 144 of 251 passes for 1,749 yards and 16 touchdowns




Van Horne- WR, Bakersfield, CA
Van Horne was a teammate of current Blue Raider quarterback Logan Kilgore at Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, Calif. Van Horne had 25 receptions for 516 yards and four touchdowns this past season.



Troyvion Edwards- CB, Mission Viejo, CA
Edwards, from Riverside, Calif., played the past two years at Saddleback College where he collected 22 tackles and three interceptions.

Honeycutt keeps getting 15 seconds...

Remember the commonly used phrase 15 seconds of fame? Have you seen the latest June 14th issue of Sports Illustrated? Well if you have or haven't yet make sure to take a closer look at the story on Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, especially on page 64. There you will see a shot of former Blue Raider Patrick Honeycutt who was signed as a free agent by the Broncos after the spring draft. Honeycutt has performed well enough to stick with the team through several practices over so far this summer.
