2009 Poster Released

The Blue Raider Marketing department has just released the poster for the 2009 season. Fans can pick up the poster at the marketing office located in Kennon Sports Hall of Fame, Floyd stadium ticket office or at Football Fan Day in the Murphy Center on Aug. 16th from 2-4pm.

Tanner named to AFCA Good Works Team

Middle Tennessee senior running back Phillip Tanner, a standout in the classroom and on the field, has been named to an elite group of 106 student-athletes nominated for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team (R) as announced by the American Football Coaches Association and Allstate Insurance Company today. The award honors college football players who make outstanding contributions in the areas of volunteerism and civic involvement.

Tanner is one of just 52 student-athletes nominated from the Football Bowl Subdivision and the only representative from the Sun Belt Conference. He and Memphis' Dominik Riley are the only FBS players on the list from Tennessee.

Sun Belt Conference Magazine

For the first time ever the Sun Belt Conference will debut a magazine dedicated to its nine football member institutions for the 2009 season. The magazine will feature detailed articles on all nine Sun Belt Conference teams.. The venture with SportsUnlimited will be available in late August. Excitement Lives Here | Middle Tennessee Blue Raider Football

Monday was the launch of the Blue Raider Marketing Department's new campaign for the 2009 season...Excitement Lives Here. Along with the release of this new slogan is the launch of an awesome new website www.ExcitementLivesHere.com This site is complete with a special pregame video that users can personalize with a few key strokes and clicks of the mouse. Make sure to have your phone handy so Coach Stockstill can give you a quick call.

This was an exciting project for the players, coaches and staff involved. Another awesome tidbit is that the entire project was created in house by Bradley Lambert, one of the MTSU Athletic Communications staff.
